Amazing water falls pristine beauty so pure so refreshing . In monsoons the water veloscity is tremendous & so one should not get into the stream near the falls. Not many people go there so one can spend time leisurely around it. Monsoon is the best time to be there.

This beautiful hill is located at about 1.5 km from Chelavara falls. There is sufficient parking space. Trek to top of the hill is not that difficult. View from top is amazing.

Nagarhole National Park, also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, is a wildlife reserve in the South Indian state of Karnataka. Part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, the park is backed by the Brahamagiri Mountains and filled with sandalwood and teak trees.

The Temple was built by King Lingarajendra II in the early 19th century. It is believed that the king built this temple as a remedy to the accidental killing of an innocent person during his Kingdom Expansion free. The guilt of murder started affecting King’s inner peace and sleep, giving him nightmares. Upon the advice of Rajapurohits (Royal Priests), a temple was built to rectify the mistake. 

The monastery was established by the 11th throneholder of the Palyul lineage, the 3rd Drubwang Padma Norbu Rinpoche in 1963. It was founded after his 1959 escape from Tibet which was also prompted by the 1957 arrest of Palyul’s then-head Khenpo, the 4th Karma Kuchen, who was tortured to death by China’s forces by 1958.
